New Brochure Guides Visitors Through Greater Phoenix’s Vibrant Cultural Landscape

If a picture is worth a thousand words, then the Greater Phoenix Arts+Culture brochure just got a lot more comprehensive. The brochure’s latest edition–not unlike the art-and-culture scene it details–is bigger, bolder and more vibrant than ever. It features 24 panels of information, including 17 color photographs and nearly 100 descriptions about Greater Phoenix’s many venues for art, music, theater, dance, science and history. The brochure also includes a large foldout map on which each cultural attraction is plotted.

The Greater Phoenix Convention & Visitors Bureau conceived and produced the original Arts+Culture brochure two years ago. That version of the pamphlet included helpful listings and a map, but no photos.

“The cultural experiences that await visitors in Greater Phoenix are rich and colorful, and the new brouchure reflects that,” said Melissa Gogel, Marketing Manager at the Greater Phoenix CVB. “It doesn’t just tell you about First Fridays art walks or Ballet Arizona or the historic Orpheum Theatre–it shows you imagery of those events and attractions, giving you a sense of their atmosphere and energy.”

The breadth of cultural options covered in brochure is impressive. Nationally known museums range from the Bead Museum in Glendale to the Heard Museum in Downtown Phoenix to the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art. Major performance venues include Phoenix’s refurbished Herberger Theater Center, the multifaceted Mesa Arts Center and the elegant Scottsdale Center for Performing Arts. Visitors, too, can learn about niche attractions such as the Arizona Doll and Toy Museum, the Adobe Mountain Railroad Museum, and Digital Arts Ranch.

The new Arts+Culture brochure also highlights ShowUp.com and the ShowUp NOW pass. The former is a Web site that allows the public to view up-to-date listings for shows, concerts, festivals and exhibits. The latter is an all-inclusive pass that allows savvy arts-and-culture aficionados to see up to 15 museums and attractions in Greater Phoenix for one low price; individuals can purchase a one-day or multi-day pass online at www.showupnowpass.com, then conveniently print tickets at home.
