In order to improve the festival experience and increase environmental sustainability, the Desert Rocks Music Festival´s 2012 theme is “Celebrating Consciousness”. This theme will be supported through conscious music, workshops, speakers, visual artists, performance artists, and films whereby it allows celebration of the mind, body, & spirit while having a kick-ass time!
With the theme of Celebrating Consciousness, the festival becomes the platform for promoting the global shift by focusing on the following sub goals: encouraging healthy lifestyles, creating social responsibility within our communities, and encouraging cultural awareness.
Desert Rocks is providing an undercurrent of awareness respecting the protection of the Green River ecosystem. The Green River is one of the three most important tributary systems in the world.
