Stop, Drop and Roll – Firefighting in 20th Century Richmond, Virginia

A new exhibition of images and objects related to public safety, firefighters and fire disasters in 20th century Richmond opens today in the Stern Gallery and is on view through March 31, 2009. Active duty and retired firefighters are invited to view the exhibit for free during the month of October, in honor of the 150th anniversary of the Richmond Fire Department and National Fire Safety Month.

The History Center will offer free admission from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. on First Fridays during the 2008-2009 season. (Complimentary parking.)
