Summer Weekend Packages to Westchester County Now Available

White Plains – Planning a summer weekend getaway just got easier. "Stay and Play, the Westchester Way" travel packages are now available from July 7th to August 27th, in Westchester County, New York's "Golden Apple" destination just north of Manhattan in the gateway to the Hudson River Valley.

Six hotels and resorts in Westchester County are offering family-friendly packages to “Stay and Play,” including The Castle on the Hudson in Tarrytown, the Courtyards by Marriott in Rye and Tarrytown, the Hilton in Rye Town, the King Mansion at Tarrytown House, and the Westchester Marriott in Tarrytown.

Amenities vary by property, and may include full breakfast, tickets to local historic sites, wine or champagne, chocolates, late check-out and free parking. (Details for each property follows.)

Upon hotel check-in, visitors will receive "The Westchester Way" Welcome Kit with additional coupons and special offers and fun promotional items, such as frisbees.

The Westchester County Office of Tourism organized this countywide package plan, now in its fourth year. "Westchester is such a convenient destination that you’ll spend more time enjoying your getaway, and less time on the road,” said Margo Jones, Director of the Office of Tourism.

Attractions providing special discount offers as part of the “Stay and Play” package include The Westchester (shopping center) in White Plains, and the Westchester Broadway Theatre in Elmsford.

The Office of Tourism is supporting the promotion with a print and advertising campaign in the metropolitan New York area.
