Virginia Beach is the Picture-Perfect Canvas for the 49th Annual Boardwalk Art Show & Festival
Vibrant watercolors, vivid paintings, beaded jewelry, fine glassware, unique crafts, awe-inspiring photography and dramatic sculptures will capture the imagination of an estimated 250,000 at Virginia Beachs 49th Annual Boardwalk Art Show & Festival. From June 17-20, the Boardwalk will provide the backdrop for more than 400 national and international craftsmen and artists to showcase more than 40,000 pieces of artwork along a 14-block stretch of the oceanfront. Known as one of the “Top 15″ fine arts shows in the country by Sunshine Artist Magazine, the Annual Boardwalk Art Show is one of the oldest art shows in the United States. Hosted by the Contemporary Art Center of Virginia, a nonprofit institution, the show is free and open to the public 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Adding to the excitement of the show is a festival with live entertainment and mouth-watering foods that will tempt art enthusiasts of all ages. Catch the sizzling tunes of regional performers on the 24th Street stage.
