Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) opened their Middle East Regional Office in Dubai from 01 November 2004
This office will be coordinating and promoting Thailand and its many attractions in twelve Middle Eastern countries that include United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman, Bahrain, Qatar, Yemen, Jordan, Iran, Iraq, Lebanon and Syria.
With the new logo Happiness on Earth to welcome every tourist, Mr. Suppakit Balachandra, Director – UK & Ireland, South Africa and Middle East said that Middle East is a fast growing and important market for Thailand in-bound tourism. This region recorded a growth of 60% over 2003, until August 2004. With the opening of the TAT Office in Dubai, we expect the growth trend to continue and improve.
Mr. Shaikh Rahmatullah, with thirty years of travel industry and marketing experience in the Middle East, has been appointed Middle East Representative for TAT based in the Dubai office.
Thailand offers everything required of a holiday to suit all preferences. There are ideas here to tempt everyВ traveler, every age group from children to senior citizens. In addition to exotic sightseeing, golden temples and an ancient culture, Thailand is Asia’s most popular vacation destination. Not only do travellers stay longer in this Land of Smiles, they also return, again and again, as there are always new places to see and things to do.
Visitors can learn the art of Thai cooking, relax on escapist tropical beaches, be active with exciting adventures on land or water, shop till they drop, then rejuvenate body and mind at a luxurious spa – even have a medical check-up! And always, Thailand’s superb hotels and friendly people will guarantee the warmest of welcomes.
