LUCERNE FESTIVAL at Easter opens with a cross-generational summit meeting as Claudio Abbado conducts the Sinfónica de la Juventud Venezolana, the unique South American youth orchestra.

The festival showcases a series of concerts featuring sacred and symphonic music with a focus on reflection of such Lenten themes as suffering, death and mourning. The concerts are performed in Lucerne‘s beautiful churches and in the concert hall of KKL Luzern.
