Option 1: Blackwater Rafting – TumuTumu TOObing – Best value blackwater rafting option – with two hours actually underground. This Ripper of a trip combines the best elements of blackwater rafting with walking, swimming and tubing through distinctive sections of the spectacular TumuTumu Cave. See awesome cave formations as well as thousands of New Zealand’s famous glowworms.
Option Two: Max Energy – Haggas Honking Holes – Extremely concentrated action. Very exciting and fast moving! An adventure that crams lots of action into only 4 hours. A cross between āIndiana Jones goes cavingā and ābeing put through a washing machine on a ropeā. Full noiseā action ā Not 1, but 3 abseils in waterfalls, rock climbing, unique formations, full training and equipment supplied. See glowworms close-up! Participants are fit and brave but no prior experience is required. The most concentrated action trip available in Waitomo.
Option Three: Spectacular Lost World Four Hour trip – Includes 100m Abseil. This trip is surprisingly gentle. Abseil (rappel) 100m slowly into the Lost World secured by your guide who abseils alongside. Option Four: Ultimate Lost World – 7-hour Epic 100m Abseil. Abseil into the Lost World (as per option 3), then take the wet way out! The descent takes approximately 30 minutes. Once down, lunch is served before heading off upstream, walking, swimming and climbing through cathedral-size vaults. See waterfalls, fossil oysters and whalebones, as well as untold glowworms. Emerge several hours later and head back to Waitomo for a well earned dinner (all included).
Option Five: St Benedictās Cavern – NZ’s Prettiest Cave. Exciting, beautiful, challenging, but surprisingly gentle. This three-hour adventure is comprised of abseiling (rappelling), zipping down the flying fox, walking and scrambling through the prettiest piece of known cave in New Zealand. This trip suits a wide range of people.
