Spanish Speaking Cruise Excursions Around Mexico

by Jimm Budd

Spanish cruise ship operator Pullmantur, which expected to have its Pacific Dream calling at ports along the Mexican Pacific, has announced a new schedule, with the Pacific Dream starting weekly runs departing Acapulco and Puerto Vallarta starting in June.

Those who cannot wait can board the ship starting in March along what is described as the Maya Caribbean, which will depart from Progreso (Merida) and Cozumel starting in March. The 13 planned Maya Caribbean cruises will call at Montego Bay and Grand Cayman, meaning that Mexican passengers must possess passports, although no visas are required. On the Pacific run, Mexicans do not even need a passport.

With Spanish the prime language on board, Mexico is viewed as the prime market for these Pullmantur excursions, although anyone from any country with the price of a ticket will be welcome aboard.
