Travelers Sprint to Israel for 18th Jerusalem Half Marathon

Thousands of travelers and athletes from around the world will arrive in Israel for the 18th Jerusalem International Half Marathon, March 18. Participants will choose between a 13.1-mile half marathon or 6.2-mile fun run. The races will begin at Givat Ram Stadium, travel through the hilly city streets, the Israel Museum, Shrine of the Book, Knesset and Jerusalem Forest, and finish at the original starting point.

The race is split into 18 different categories depending on age and gender, and winners will be awarded cash prizes.

“The Jerusalem International Half Marathon is an exciting competition that will bring top athletes from around the world to Israel,” says Arie Sommer, Commissioner of Tourism, North and South America. “The race will offer travelers a one-of-a-kind athletic experience to compete through the diverse Jerusalem landscape.”

Participants are also invited to attend a festive dinner and opening ceremony the night before the race.
