Israman Negev 2010 and 27th International Ein Gedi Race to Kick Off in Israel
New York – January 11, 2010: The Israman Negev 2010 and the 27th International Ein Gedi Race will attract world-class athletes to Israel, January 29 and February 20. The Israman competition will feature a 2.5-mile swim, a 111-mile bike ride and a 26-mile run in the mountains around the southern Israeli resort town of Eilat, January 29. Athletes may also participate in the Half Israman competition, which includes a 1.1-mile swim, a 56-mile bike ride and a 13.1-mile run.

The 27th International Ein Gedi Race will feature the choice of a half marathon or a 6.2-mile run beginning near Kibbutz Ein Gedi and following the road along the shores of the Dead Sea through to Masada. The marathon will also include a 1.2-mile race for children.
“We are thrilled to attract some of the world’s top athletes to southern Israel,” says Arie Sommer, Commissioner for Tourism, North and South America. “The warm climate around the Dead Sea and in Eilat will serve as the perfect environment for wintertime athletic competitions.”
Participants of the Ein Gedi Race will enjoy free admission to the Ein Gedi Spa.
