Business School Of Fashion (The Knowledge centre) will be Nucleus of the Fashion Technology Park Project at Mohali in India

Mr. Hafeez Contractor, a most renowned architect who created some of the country's largest multi-facility layouts and building designs, has satisfied the clientele that varied from Builders and developers to Government Companies and MNC's with his design.

Regarding the layout of the Park, the buildings had been strategically located facing the main road, attracting visitors to the complex. The CEO of Fashion Technology Park, Mr. Jagjit Singh Kochhar said in his address to the Media Men that furthermore, globalization had led to assimilation of disparities in historical cultures, economic levels, principles and political freedom of different countries led to reinvention of lifestyles, concerns and consumption practices. He said that Global fusion had created gigantic business opportunities for the Fashion Design Industry. He said that the Fashion Technology Park, would response to the opening up of the Global Fashion market to the Indian Industry. He said that this boom would entail India streamlining and synergizing its talent and resources in fashion, textile and garment sector. He said that the proposed park would suit the emerging markets and consumer needs, integrated facilities; also develop research and designing, development of material & resource base, product innovation & prototype development
Mr. Kochhar said that the Fashion Technology Park Project of Mohali, promoted by Chandigarh Overseas Pvt. Ltd., a Greenfield Venture Group. Fashion Technology Park had been an integrated infrastructure project on 14 acres of land, with total construction of 11.5 lac Sq. ft. at the cost of Rs.220 crores , would be coming up within next 18 months in Sector 90, Mohali, Punjab. He said that this Park Project had been possessed with several unique "First of its Kind" features. Mr. Singh said that in the planning of the park, 40% of the total area would be constructed ground coverage and remaining would be open for greens, roads and roof gardens etc. resulting in World Class ambience and business environment, 100% captive gas based power generation, basement parking for 1000 four wheelers, commitment for environment friendly architecture, approach and technologies to bench mark it for other real estate projects, which would be with knowledge Centre(Business school of Fashion), Industrial, Residential , Commercial included Multi-Complex Shopping, Mall and Ware- Housing Complexes. Mr. Singh told that Business School of fashion (The Knowledge centre) had been carved as a unique concept and would provide services to the designers of the life style products, not only in the park, but to outside world, rather globally through latest IT Services.

Mr. Kochhar said that Industrial Zone would be another centre at the park, which would face amphitheatre along with galleries, design studios and workshop spaces would provide a platform for cross cultural exchanges. He said that these exchanges would create flavor and ambience of a global village. He said that the zone would be of a-class construction, intelligent buildings, 100% power back up, centrally air-conditioned and terraced gardens.

Mr. Kochhar said that the Warehouse, measuring 28617 sq. ft., which would be connected with separate lifts and stair-cases. He said that this project would posses the potential of engineering, a low cost economic revolution in the northern region complementing. at ground and first floor would be kept for custom bonded exports.

Mr. Kochhar said that Shopping Mall would be the part of commercial wing, which would contain Anchor stores, large mail area, retail service outlets, connected with elevators an with sufficient public amenities . Mr. Kootchar said that the park would have Residential Zone, which would have the facilities like common reception facilities, lobby area, provision of mechanical laundry, cyber cafe, terraced gardens, and dormitory facilities for drivers, car washing facilities, club house and professional security system. He further said that this area would have four, ten storied blocks each having 37 flats, which would be with master bed room, two bed rooms , attached bath and dress area, dining room, open kitchen and terrace with servant room attached with kitchen. Balconies would be another charm with every part of these flats.

He said that in this proposed park, the intelligent building concepts would be the integral component of the park; .which would enable dynamic net-working of every dimension with in the park, internally as well as globally through the dedicated Information Technology Infrastructure.

The CEO of the Business school of fashion, Mr. Pikender Pal Singh claimed that Business School would be equipped with World Class R & D Laboratories, Material & Production Resource base. Sampling & testing facilities compatible to International standards, Well-stocked Fashion Design Library, Exhibition hall and display gallery. Mr. Singh also said that the Fashion Technology Park Project would not be creating only integrated design Infrastructure for offering opportunities for development of skills but to create, upward thrust to the Life Style Industry, especially Garment manufacturing in Punjab, which would be enabler to place Punjab Textiles for Creatation of Global Brand Image. Mr. Singh said that the establishing of Fashion Technology Park would provide 5000 direct and 50000 indirect employment opportunities to the entrepreneurial skills of Punjab
Mr. Singh disclosed that Business School of fashion, a very important segment, also known as Knowledge Centre would be imparting training to covert the Punjabi educated unemployed youth skilled, talented & experienced to not only earn their bread and butter, but would keep their and their State's name globally glorious. Even village artisans, farmers and prevailing textile units would be benefited, Mr. Singh claimed. Mr. Singh further said that this Knowledge centre would play a vital role of becoming a bridge between Artisans of Punjab and large buyers, rather it would help to create self employment especially for women as rural women of Punjab had been blessed with the art of creating intricate handicrafts. Mr. Singh explained that The Business School of Fashion would form the hub of the Fashion Technology Park, which would develop and deliver a repository of acquaintance, innovation, product development related services
