The 60th Anniversary of the Liberation of Guam and the military buildup on Guam – in combination with a strengthening economy and international travel market – are credited in part for the increase in travelers to Guam from North America.
Japan tallied nearly 78,000 or 77 percent of the total visitor figure for the month, a substantial increase over July 2003 by more than 50 percent.
Civilian air arrivals from Korea and Taiwan, two other primary sources of visitors for Guam, also recorded levels above July 2003.В
