Golf Challenge in the French Riviera
French Riviera-Cote-d’Azur region is pleased to announce the second International Amateur Golf Tournament by teams of two players. Cannes Golf Classic will take place from Wednesday 26th September to Sunday 30th September 2007.
With the professional support of the Riviera-Cote-d’Azur regional tourist office and the cities of Cannes and Grasse, the organizers of the Cannes Golf Classic expect to welcome once again more than 100 international players.
The event will be played on three of the best and most challenging golf courses in the French Riviera: Royal Mougins Golf Club, Golf Country Club Cannes Mougins, Golf de Saint Donat, among others.
An attractive tourist product
This important golf tournament is scheduled to be one of the biggest events of the year on the regional calendar. It will is also a very attractive tourist product allowing visitors to discover the Riviera while staying in beautiful palaces in Cannes (Majestic Lucien Barriere and Gray d’Albion) and playing manicured and challenging golf courses. The promotion will target direct golfers from major market segments and particularly Italy, UK, Germany, Scandinavia, Switzerland, U.S.A, Canada, etc.
5 days / 4 nights packages are available with the organizers for international golfers and regional club members.
Tournament Format
International amateur tournament by team of two players
54 holes – 18 holes per day – tee-off in Shotgun
2 scores better score on the three golf courses
The total of the two handicaps must not exceed 56
Handicap limit: Men 28 – Women 28
