France’s jazz festival tradition lights up the summer

France has been a haven for jazz musicians since the musical style was invented. Though a signature American art form, it has enjoyed great repute and respect in France since its inception as the focus of festivals and events throughout the country. This year is no exception.

Jazz à Juan, Antibes/Juan-les-Pins
July 12-22
The 46th version of the Jazz à Juan festival in Antibes/Juan-les-Pins invites famous jazz artists and up-and-coming musicians to perform for 10 days in this beautiful beach community. Performances this year include B.B. King, the Dizzy Gillespie Big Band, Diana Krall and Tracy Chapman, as well as a special concert by reggae sensation Sean Paul on July 11 at Pinede Gould. Nancy Jazz Pulsations
October 8 to 22
