Fiji’s Likuliku Lagoon Resort Welcomes Chef Brett Kryskow
December 17, 2008/Huntington Beach, CA – Brett Kryskow of Sydney, Australia and his fiancé Chloe Marshman are the latest additions to this famously breath-taking romantic Fijian get-a-way.
The Resort’s previous chef, Shane Watson, confidently passes the baton to his former assistant Kryskow, whom he worked with at the award-winning Vie Restaurant in Sofitel Queenstown, New Zealand.
“At the age of 27,” Kryskow says, “my career has brought me to this new and exciting venture in the Pacific Islands. I am looking to push the boundaries at Likuliku, utilizing the local produce to create an unforgettable culinary experience for each guest.”
While Kryskow takes over as Likuliku’s executive Chef, his fiancé Chloe Marshman, from Sydney’s multi-award-winning Quay Restaurant, will head up the Resort’s pastry kitchen.
Together the couple intends to make culinary history at Fiji’s elegant couples only retreat.
Kryskow says, “I am looking at interpreting the abundance of seafood and spices in Fiji into an innovative, clean, crisp and evolving cuisine.”
Likuliku Lagoon Resort Group General Manager Steve Anstey says that inviting Kryskow to head up the resort kitchens was an easy choice. “Brett’s food methodology fits with what we are achieving at Likuliku. He will be able to continue the style of our menu whilst adding his own flavors and flare to what is a truly extraordinary dining experience.”
Fine dining at the Fijiana offers indoor and outdoor terrace style seating. The unique approach to cuisine at Likuliku is also setting new benchmarks in Fiji dining.
Situated in the Mamanuca group of islands in west Fiji, Likuliku Lagoon Resort is located 25km/16miles from Nadi International Airport. Guests can arrive at
Likuliku by helicopter, seaplane private speedboat, or fast catamaran transfer.
