Britain: It's Out There – and Canadians can win trips in a special contest

VisitBritain (the national tourist office for England, Scotland and Wales) is kicking off their new campaign "Britain: It's Out There" with a fantastic prize.

The campaign hopes to inspire Canadians to see Britain in a fresh new way and it will be brought to life through themes that are "out there" by highlighting intriguing and unusual activities and events such as Cheese-Rolling in Gloucestershire; Bog Snorkeling in Wales or seeing London, James Bond style, by speed boating down the river Thames.

Britain is a long standing favourite destination for Canadians in regard to theatre, royalty, castles and countryside, but not so well known for its amazing outdoor adventure and activities. Come to Britain and try Coasteering, adrenalin packed adventure for all ages, in Wales or try hiking on Britain's highest mountain Ben Nevis. For those that love the outdoors but are not quite so adventurous why not try Llama Trekking in the Surrey Hills, where a Llama will carry your picnic through an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, that was once at the forefront of the Industrial Revolution.

For the food enthusiasts discover some of our market towns such as Ludlow, a gastronomic capital with not less than seven Michelin rated restaurants. The fabulous food and drink trails in Britain open up a new area to explore such as Ludlow's Sausage Trail, the Tea Trail in Cumbria, Herefordshire's Cider Route, Tastes of Lincolnshire and Tastes of the West and the infamous Whisky Trail in Scotland.

To kick of this new campaign VisitBritain will be offering a great contest.

The fantastic prize includes:

• A pair (2) of return tickets from any Canadian city Zoom Airlines flies from to any of its destinations in the UK.
• Two (2) round trip standard class Eurostar passes between London and Paris or Brussels courtesy of Eurostar.
• Seven (7) nights accommodation in the UK for two people sharing. Hotel to be confirmed.
• Two (2) London Oyster Cards
• Two (2) Great British Heritage Passes
