FITE 2006, Ecuador's new bet
Four months away from the fourth edition of Ecuador's International Tourism Fair (FITE 2006), which will take place in Guayaquil from 21 September to 24 September, the organization of the Fair confirms the participation of buyers from America, Europe, Asia and The Middle East.
The creation of a mutual understanding with Korea last December and the agreements with China for Ecuador to become officially recognized as a tourism destination, allow the opening of the Asian market to Ecuador. The delegations of Korea and China were welcomed to the Fair during last year's edition and the Fair is now getting ready to welcome other Asian delegations.
FITE 2006 will welcome the following new participants: Brazil, Guatemala, The Czech Republic and Italy. These countries will participate with their own stand for the first time. Their presence along with the consolidated presence of other countries will reinforce the activity in the "Plaza de las Naciones" – Nations Plaza where offer and demand converge.
Ecuador's International Tourism Fair has been working to create, in the last few years, a chain of cooperation between several International Tourism Fairs, in order to create an exchange of mutual promotion. This chain of cooperation includes Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Peru, Bolivia, The Dominican Republic and Colombia. And will soon include Portugal and Paraguay.
