Ritz Tours Unveils 11-Day Summer Special To Tokyo, Hong Kong & Beijing Or Shanghai

ALHAMBRA, CA (Feb. 26, 2007) – Ritz Tours has combined the lands of the dragon and rising sun with the Pearl of the Orient into an exciting and well-priced 11-day summer special to Tokyo, Hong Kong and either Beijing or Shanghai starting at $1,899 plus taxes, per person, based on double occupancy including airfare, hotel accommodations, sightseeing and more.

The tour begins with several days in Tokyo, the creative epicenter of Japan that blends a state-of-the-art financial marketplace with a rich mix of the ultramodern and historical. A half-day city tour brings travelers to the Imperial Palace with its photogenic Two-Tiered Bridge and picturesque backdrop, the Asakusa Kannon Temple, the Tokyo Tower featuring an elevator ride to the top for awesome views of the bustling city, and time in the Ginza district for shopping and exploring.

During a full day of leisure in Tokyo, travelers can discover the city’s abundant art and cultural offerings, commercial shopping districts, museums, galleries and religious sites. No trip to Tokyo would be complete without spending some time meandering through its beautiful gardens, parks and arboretums.

The next stop on the itinerary is either Beijing or Shanghai. In Beijing, China’s capital city, visitors will experience the world’s largest public square, Tiananmen Square, the ancient Forbidden City, the magnificent emperor’s Summer Palace and the ornate Temple of Heaven. A definitive highlight of time in Beijing is walking atop the Great Wall, a man-made wonder that spans thousands of miles as it snakes through the northern part of China.

Travelers opting to discover the cosmopolitan and sophisticated city of Shanghai will explore the stunning Yu Garden, the old Jade Buddha Temple, Nanjing Road for fantastic shopping, and the waterfront Bund. An optional tour to Suzhou, known as the ‘Venice of the East,’ can be arranged. Free time on the itinerary allows travelers to experience the old-world feel and modern-day charm of China’s capital of commerce and industry.

The tour concludes with several days in Hong Kong, a bustling and vibrant destination boasting a rich blend of Chinese and European traditions. A half-day city tour includes breathtaking Victoria Peak, Stanley Market, Repulse Bay and Aberdeen’s Floating Community. Visitors will have ample free time to explore Hong Kong’s popular shopping areas as well as enjoy other optional excursions.

Priced from $1,899 plus taxes per person, based on double occupancy, the 11-day summer special to Tokyo/Beijing/Hong Kong or Tokyo/Shanghai/Hong Kong features roundtrip airfare from Los Angeles; intra-China airfare; hotel accommodations; meals and entertainment per the itinerary; and the services of knowledgeable tour guides.
