The country’s tourism industry is to address some of the major impediments it is facing in a three-day event called National Tourism Forum, to be held here in Honiara later this week. Expected to partake in this event, in an effort to find some solutions, are more than 50 current operators and potential operators.

Tourism and environment can co-exists in the Solomon Islands
A peaceful co-existence of the environment and the tourism industry can reap huge benefits to small island countries to sustain local economies. This sentiment was echoed loudly by executives of the European Investment Bank, the Micronesian Development Bank and the Caribbean Hotels Association during the three-day conference organized by Pro-invest in Fiji last week.
