Astronaut’s son to become 6th space tourist

Space Adventures, which has arranged five previous space flights, said Richard Garriott is scheduled to blast off aboard a Soyuz rocket from Kazakhstan in October 2008 on a one-week trip to the international space station.

Blanket US immunity law sought by space tourist industry

The space tourism’s trade organization wants ptotection from US lawmakers. Virgin Galactic and Space Adventures and other members of Personal Spaceflight Federation (PSF), which is space tourism’s trade organization, are seeking new legislation in California, Florida, Texas and Oklahoma where commercial spaceports are located.
