Burma PM sacked ‘to prevent unrest’
RANGOON (The Australian) — BURMA’S ruling junta Sunday openly accused its former premier of corruption and said he was sacked to prevent the disintegration of the country’s powerful military. The regime previously claimed Khin Nyunt had retired for “health reasons” last month despite being kept under house arrest for corruption.
