Sad News of the Passing of Trinidad & Tobago’s Favourite Son, Andy Parris

We are sad to announce that Mrs. Margaret Parris (wife of Andre “Andy” Parris) has advised that Andy Parris passed on Friday morning, March 28th at SunnyBrook Hospital in Toronto, Ontario. Andy was involved in the tourism industry for decades, at one time with B.W.I.A., but mainly occupied in the promotion of his beloved country, Trinidad and Tobago.

imageHe was an exceptional human being whose handshake was his word. As a client he was professional, accessible, tough but always fair. As a friend, he was kind, gentle, gracious, generous and giving. He was passionate about the Caribbean and many of us were fortunate to have traveled with Andy to T&T, making for an authentic and fun-filled visit. It was not possible to walk a block there without someone stopping to engage him in conversation!

The family is having a service for Andy to be held at St. Paul’s Church L’Amoreaux, Anglican Church of Canada at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday April 1, 2008.

The address of the church is 3333 Finch Avenue East, Scarborough, Ontario M1W 2R9 (Finch and Warden intersection).

Please remember the family in your prayers at this time.
