LIGHTS, CAMERA, ACTION! For the Victoria BC Film Festival 2010
From January 29 – February 7, 2010 the 16th Annual Victoria Film Festival will be held in Victoria, BC. In addition to showcasing the best in Canadian and world cinema including feature films, documentaries and shorts, the 2010 festival brings with it new partnerships promising festival goers more venues to gather to talk about your favourite films.

In addition to last years’ Springboard event which brought together a jury of established Canadian filmmakers and notable film critics to speak about their views on the future of media art and conduct one-on-one meetings with North American broadcasters and distributors, this year’s festival will also feature Dinner and More Than A Movie and Sips ‘n’ Cinema. Dinner and More Than A Movie, held on February 3, 2010 will take place at The Superior CafГ© in Victoria’s James Bay neighbourhood.
The evening is a food and film extravaganza showcasing a mix of eclectic, erotic short films. Tickets are $35 CDN / $33 USD. Sips ‘n’ Cinema will take place on February 4, 2010 at Legacy Art Gallery in downtown Victoria. For $20 CDN / $19 USD, festival goers are invited to the gallery for an evening of wine tasting, hor d’oeuvres and engaging discussion lead by Festival Programmer Donovan Aikman. Gift Certificates for the Victoria Film Festival are available now and are redeemable for memberships, t-shirts and movie tickets when the Box Office opens at 10am on Monday January 11, 2010.
