Tourism Whistler and Visa invite visitors to get a taste of Whistler with “Dine & Unwind”

Tourism Whistler and Visa extend a special invitation to “Dine & Unwind” at Whistler’s premier restaurants and hotels. From November 25 to December 15, participants will be among the first to usher in the winter season in true Whistler style. Dine & Unwind restaurants will entice visitors with with fixed price menus, while Whistler’s distinctive range of accommodations beckon with the finest hospitality at special package rates.

“Dine & Unwind gives visitors and locals alike a chance to experience Whistler’s restaurants and accommodations at an excellent value,” says Shivauna Brown, Director of Advertising, Promotions & Partnerships, Tourism Whistler. “Whether you’re here to inaugurate the 2004/05 ski season or to simply dine and unwind, this is a prime opportunity to get a taste of all that Whistler has to offer,” adds Brown.

Dine & Unwind showcases a wide range of Whistler’s popular restaurants inviting diners to enjoy fixed price menus priced at $20 and $30 Cdn. Twenty dollar menus are available at Après, Crepe Montagne, La Brasserie des Artistes, Milestones Whistler, Thai One On and Whistler Cooks. Thirty dollar menus are presented by Après, Araxi, Bearfoot Bistro, Caramba Restaurante, Il Caminetto di Umberto, La Bocca, Milestones Whistler, Quattro, Trattoria di Umberto, The Wildflower Restaurant, and Zeuski’s. Patrons are advised to book directly with preferred restaurants referencing Dine & Unwind, and present a Dine & Unwind voucher to redeem the special menu price. Tourism Whistler’s partner Visa sweetens the meal with the VISA® Dine & Unwind Contest. From November 25 to December 15, British Columbia residents paying for special Dine & Unwind meals using their VISA card receive a ballot to enter the contest. To be eligible, guests simply complete the ballot and return it to their server. Winners will receive one of two Grand Prizes, each composed of two nights’ accommodation and two $75 gift certificates for the Whistler Dine & Unwind restaurants of the winners’ choice.
