The Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony Kicks off Festive Season 2009 at the Fairmont Royal York in Toronto
For the fifthteenth year, The Fairmont Royal York and cast members from Mirvish productions’ current production of The Sound of Music will ring in the festive season with the annual tree lighting ceremony. Toronto’s grand landmark hotel welcomes the public with free refreshments and a visit from Santa. This event is free to the public!
WHEN: Friday, November 27, 2009 at 12 p.m. sharp, through to 12:45 p.m..
WHERE: The lobby of The Fairmont Royal York
100 Front St. West, Toronto.
WHY: This tradition, familiar to many Torontonians, marks the beginning
of the holiday season at The Fairmont Royal York and will raise awareness for the Children’s Wish Foundation of Canada.
WHO: Cast members of The Sound of Music will sing Christmas carols and a Children Wish Foundation child will light up the 22-foot-tall Christmas Tree.
