Kimberley Alpine Resort Gearing up for Exciting Season with Improved Snow Conditions
Kimberley, British Columbia – Extensive summer grooming has provided an essential base for snowmaking at Kimberley Alpine Resort. Employees are working hard to get Kimberley set up for opening day on Thursday December 18, 2003.
Snowmaking at the resort has been upgraded to include new pipes, pumps, spigots and electrical outlets to allow the guns to make more snow over greater terrain. Guests will see a huge difference in access to runs this year and almost all of the runs from Easter over to Notre Dame have been cleared of bush opening up more glades.
“We’ve beefed up the entire system,”says Chris Elder, Marketing Manager for Kimberley. “ We can blow right to the top of the mountain now, which means we can open the North Star High Speed Quad Chair right away.”
“More snow at Kimberley means perfect corduroy!” says Matt Mosteller. “With great groomed runs, new ski and ski out lodging, a variety of terrain; Kimberley is perfect for that Family ski vacation,” added Mosteller.
Season passes and Canadian Louise Cardholders are invited to a Passholder Party at the Ozone Pub for November 5. Doors open at 7:00pm and the new Teton Gravity Research film “ High Life” will be shown at 8:00pm followed by various special local films. “It will be a cool party,” Elder added.
