Mental illness and spirituality
Barry Shainbaum suffered for 18 years from bipolar disorder.  After years of medication, psychotherapy, self-education, spiritual exploration, and embracing the growth that came from suffering, he was able to walk away from the debilitating illness 17 years ago. ÂÂ
Barry will share with you stories from his life journey, and spiritual insights that he learned.  Barry Shainbaum works as a professional photographer, speaker, author and radio talk show host. You can hear his show each Sunday on Faith FM. 94.3, at 11:00 am. Each week a different guest is featured. The topics covered by the show are: spirituality, religion, inspiration, the environment, mental health, ethics, entrepreneurship and the arts. ÂÂ
