TORONTO, Ontario, July 31, 2008 – The Rogers Chinese Lantern Festival, one of the largest Chinese cultural experiences outside of China, opens on July 31, 2008. The Ontario Place landscape transforms itself for 57 nights this July through to mid October. Sixty master craftsmen from the China Colour Lantern Museum in Zigong, China have worked all summer to create an amazing scene, set along the waterfront of Ontario Place. The lantern festival lights the way for traditional Asian and international food, handicrafts and live performers from China and around the world including acrobats, dancers, and martial artists.
