BENNETT JONES SPONSORS LAKE LOUISE WORLD CUP BUSINESS FORUM

Calgary, AB – June 5, 2007 – Canadian law firm Bennett Jones LLP is the title sponsor of the prestigious Business Forum, which takes place annually in Lake Louise at the opening Men's Downhill races of the World Cup season, Alpine Canada Alpin announced today.

The Bennett Jones Lake Louise World Cup Business Forum, which has grown steadily in stature since its launch five years ago, will be held Nov. 23rd to 25th, in conjunction with the Lake Louise World Cup Downhill, when the top racers in the world return to the famed mountain resort for the 27th year.

“Bennett Jones is committed to promoting the world’s best, whether in practicing law, supporting elite sport or sponsoring a Forum where business leaders can meet in one of the world’s most spectacular settings to discuss global issues," said Perry Spitznagel, Partner and Director of the firm’s Partnership Board.  "We have helped build the Business Forum from its inception and our financial commitment today will help take it to the next level in making the Bennett Jones Lake Louise World Cup Business Forum a key date on the business calendar."

The event engages senior business leaders from across Canada and around the world and internationally-renowned experts in a wide-ranging discussion of timely business topics.

This year, the focus will be on the business of climate change.

"The support of Bennett Jones permits us to invite corporate leaders to the most unique event in Canada, where the best of business and sport are combined at one of the world's most majestic locations," said Ken Read, Chief Executive Officer, Alpine Canada Alpin.

Last year's Business Forum featured former United States Secretary of Homeland Security Tom Ridge and noted commentator Gwynne Dyer, who discussed the impact of global security issues on the North American economy. In tandem, guests spent the weekend in Lake Louise, where John Kucera of Calgary made the dreams of all Canadian ski fans come true, becoming the first Canadian in history to win a World Cup Super G on home soil.

"The Bennett Jones Lake Louise World Cup Business Forum offers an unmatched setting for business leaders to discuss issues critical to the future prosperity of Canada while attending the exciting first men's speed events of the season," said Matt Mosteller, Senior Director of Business Development for Resorts of the Canadian Rockies, which operates Lake Louise Mountain Resort.

Many attendees are members of the Alpine Canada Alpin Podium Club, which was founded in 1995 to target funding towards the National Development Team when young athletes at the crucial junior age step up from their provincial teams.

The organizing committee for the Bennett Jones Lake Louise World Cup Business Forum includes Co-Chairs Murray Edwards and Perry Spitznagel, as well as John Cassels, Ken Read, Jim Rooney, Q.C., Wayne Henuset, Justin Fogarty, Alison Keene, and Matt Mosteller.
