Whistler Mountains ski season officially comes to a close on June 6, but on June 7, the season on Blackcomb Mountains Horstman Glacier is just getting started for summer skiing and snowboarding, noon-3 p.m., daily. The summer glacier experience is recommended for intermediate to advanced skiers and riders and is ideal for perfecting terrain park and mogul skills in the summer. Lifts open at 11 a.m. daily for the one-hour ride to the glacier June 7 to August 1, 2004.

Whistler Mountain Alpine Hiking Trails Open
As the snow recedes on Whistler Mountain, alpine hiking trails open for the summer season starting June 26. The view at 1,800 meters (6,000 feet) is 360 degrees of stunning beauty any way you look at it. The Whistler Gondola ride to the top means guests arrive fresh and ready to capture incredible views of Black Tusk, explore the sites of extinct volcanoes, check out Whistler Glacier and experience the purity of alpine forests and lakes June 26 to September 26, 2004.

Whistler Farmers Market
The Whistler Farmers Market is back for another season of local farm-fresh produce, certified organic goods, homemade soaps, candles, and pickled foods, freshly baked bread, cookies and desserts, custom-made furniture and antiques, arts and crafts and more. Located in the Upper Village along the pedestrian promenade near The Fairmont Chateau Whistler, the Whistler Farmers Market attracts vendors from the Sea to Sky corridor from Lions Bay to Lytton. New Garbanzo Trails Open in Whistler Mountain Bike Park
This summer marks the beginning of a revolution on Whistler Mountain when three new expert trails totaling 2,200 vertical feet of mountain biking terrain are opened to the public for a grand total of 3,400 vertical feet of available terrain. The new mountain bike trails will be accessed via the Garbanzo Express, which will be outfitted with the patented bike carriers currently found on the Fitzsimmons chair. Scheduled opening: June 26, 2004.
The Whistler Mountain Bike Park is currently open weekends until May 21 and daily starting May 22. Overall, the bike park offers more than 200 kilometres (125 miles) of lift-serviced, gravity-fed, adrenaline-fueled descending trails. From gentle, banked cruisers through the coastal forest, to tight and twisty single track perfect for intermediate riders, and steep rock faces and drop offs for experts - theres something for every level of rider.
