TICKETS NOW ON SALE FOR DR. JANE GOODALL PUBLIC LECTURE
SUDBURY, ON - World-famous primatologist, environmentalist and humanitarian, Dr. Jane Goodall will speak at two events in Sudbury on September 23, 2009. Dr. Goodall, helped launch the Science North special exhibition Discovering Chimpanzees - The Remarkable World of Jane Goodall in 2002, and is returning to Sudbury to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Science North’s Roots & Shoots conference, as well as present a public lecture.
The upcoming speaking engagements are part of ongoing events being held to mark Science North’s 25th anniversary year.
Tickets for Dr. Goodall’s public lecture are now on sale and available on-line at sciencenorth.ca or on-site at Science North. Science North Members and the public are encouraged to buy their tickets early and save! Tickets are $30 plus GST until June 30, 2009. As of July 1, 2009 the price for each ticket increases to $35 plus GST.
The public lecture will be held at Glad Tidings Tabernacle; a venue that can accommodate up to 1,500 people. The event will include a one-hour presentation by Dr. Jane Goodall, followed by a question and answer period.
