The Outaouais Tourism Industry Celebrates The 20th Grands Prix Du Tourisme Québécois Regional Gala
Festivities filled the Canadian Museum of Civilization as Outaouais Tourism and its partners celebrated the 20th Grands Prix du Tourisme de l’Outaouais gala, sponsored by the Casino du Lac-Leamy. On this occasion, the tourism industry presented 17 Ovation awards to Outaouais businesses that truly distinguished themselves in the past year.
“For 20 years now, this prestigious event has been highlighting the excellence of the tourism industry and, most especially, the excellence of our regional entrepreneurs. These men and women strive passionately and work hard to be the best in their field and to make the Outaouais one of the most performing tourist destinations in Québec!,” said Mr. Jean Thiffault, Outaouais Tourism’s Chairman of the Board.
Award-winning businesses will have the honour of proudly representing the Outaouais region at the national gala and will have the chance to walk away with the most prestigious award in Québec’s tourism industry. The Grands Prix du Tourisme Québécois national gala will be held in Québec City on May 6.
During the evening, Outaouais Tourism also honoured three individuals by welcoming them into the Ambassadors Club. The club, created in 1995, brings together individuals, institutions and organizations from the Outaouais region that have succeeded, thanks to their influence or involvement with a group, association, company or sports organization at the provincial, national or even international level, in bringing them to hold a convention or meeting in the Outaouais. The Ambassadors Club is now comprised of over 75 members.
