Niagara Falls, ON – The Canadian Mint has honoured the city by putting the image of the falls on a new Canadian $30 holographic coin. Designed by Saskatchewan artist Chris Jordison, the sterling silver coin depicts a colour, panoramic view of the Horseshoe Falls with the engraving of a camera. The flip side features an image of Queen Elizabeth II by Canadian artist Susanna Blunt. The coin is released as a limited edition of 15,000 and retails for $84.95. Canal Days Entertainment Reaches New Heights

Port Colborne, ON – Entertainment kicks off Friday, August 3rd with the Canal Days Homecoming at Market Square, Kinfest Reunion at 7:00 pm, with Headliner Spirit of the West and special guest Taxi Chain. Presented by 105.7 EZ Rock, no outside chairs will be permitted. $2 donations will be accepted at the gate, ATM available, with bar sales lasting until 11:00 pm.

On Saturday, August 4th, 97.7 HTZ FM is pleased to present the Canal Days Great Canadian Concert at Market Square with rock icon and headliner David Wilcox, with Canadian Idol judge and national recording artist Sass Jordan and the original Teenage Head featuring lead singer Frankie Venom. The Saturday concert series starts at 6:00 pm with bar sales until 11:00 pm.

As part of the Sunday Shred, Canal Days will be offering the Haro/Adidas Eyewear Stunt Show in Market Square. This remarkable event runs from 2:00 pm until 7:00 pm. At 2:00 pm and 4:30 pm, the Haro/Adidas Eyewear BMX and Blade Stunt Team will perform, with Indie spotlight band All for Nothing performing between shows. The Haro/Adidas Eyewear Team will join All for Nothing for a combined show at 7:00 pm. No alcohol service. Admission is $2/person or $5/family (adults with children, up to 6 in total). No outside chairs allowed.

Following the shows at the Market Square, beginning at 10:00 pm., the City of Port Colborne will once again put on a spectacular Fireworks show over the historic Welland Canal.

At 11:00 am on Monday, August 6th, it's the Margarita Beach Party with GIANT FM 91.7 presenting Canada's Premier Beach Boys Tribute, The Beach Bums, with openers Spirit of the Keys. $2 donations accepted at the gate.
