A day in the life of Spin Symposium at Mont Tremblant Quebec

For the second consecutive year, from March 26th to April 4th, Tremblant is hosting Spin Symposium, THE most important riding and alternative culture event in Eastern North America. The most awe-inspiring pro skiers and boarders will go head to head in this 10-day springtime happening, competing for over $10,000 worth of prizes and money, as well as a Volkswagen Golf GTI. In addition to amazing competitions, Spin Symposium also includes 10 days of spectacular demonstrations, concerts, DJ performances and wild parties.

From après-ski to the wee small hours…
At the end of the ski day, skiers, boarders, competitors and spectators gather in Place Saint-Bernard for the Nokia Après-Ski Concerts, held daily from 3:00 to 5:30 pm. Among the most highly anticipated performers: two-time Juno Award nominees (2004) from Ontario, Barlow (Saturday, March 12th), young Québécoise singer songwriter Andrée Watters (Sunday, March 28th), the fabulous ska group Planet Smashers (Wednesday, March 31st), and two-time Canadian Independent Music Awards nominee, the Vancouver group GOB (Sunday, April 4th).

Spin celebrations will continue long into the night with unforgettable Sound Experiences, presented by NightLife magazine. Every evening, from 10 pm to midnight, electronic music fans will be treated to breathtaking musical experiences by an eclectic array of performing DJs in one of three Tremblant Village bars (Octobar, P’tit Caribou, Café de l’Époque). There will be a different theme every night, from March 24th to April 4th, and the featured DJs include: DJ Eloi & Mossa, DJ Curve, DJ F. Le Baron, DJ Mighty Kat & Circus, DJ Maus Saboteur music & Aria, DJ Soul Sista, DJ The Maule, DJ Asslak, DJ Lorange and DJ Sector.

Adrenaline enthusiasts can quench their thirst for thrills and excitement by watching the awe-inspiring extreme sport demonstrations in Place Saint-Bernard. From Friday, March 26th to Sunday, March 28th, at 4:00 pm, BMX, skateboard and mountain bike athletes will perform to their hearts’
content on the special obstacles and ramp set up in Place Saint-Bernard. From Thursday, April 1st to Saturday, April 3rd, at 5:00 pm, motocross athletes take to the huge ramp to wow the crowd with their breathtakingly high jumps in the Big Air Motocross.

One piece for half price
April 1st is April Fool’s Day, the perfect occasion to play a trick or two on your friends. April 1st is also National One-Piece Day. Wear a stylish one-piece ski suit (very high fashion in the 80s), and you will receive a 50% discount on your daily lift ticket. Rummage through your cedar chest for that mothball scented, elegant jump suit and come and ski at Tremblant for half the price. Friendly howls of laughter guaranteed!
