Skate on Tim Hortons’ Rink at Montreal Winter Festival

The management of Parc Jean-Drapeau is truly disappointed that the current weather conditions have prompted the Canadiens to effect a change of venue for the outdoor practice scheduled to
take place Sunday the 25th, on the specially built rink at Place des Nations on Sainte-Hélène Island. “We respect the decision of the team’s management, declared Mr. Marcel Caron, General Manager of Parc Jean-Drapeau. We had worked very hard to deliver exceptional installations.” Nevertheless, Parc Jean-Drapeau management announces that it will make the Tim Hortons rink, specially built for the event, available to the public. All are invited to come to the Fête des Neiges and skate on this superb NHL- regulation size rink which will be open to the public for the duration of the Fête des Neiges according to programming.

What’s more, visitors will have a great time at the Fête des Neiges and all programmed activities will proceed as scheduled. Case in point, a World Premiere performance, the “Mystères du lac Voldeau”, presented in collaboration with Loto-Québec, an awesome acrobatic high diving performance
presented each weekend, three times a day at 12:30, 1:30 and 2:30 A chilling performance that is sure to take your breath away!

From January 24 to February 8, 2004, Boule de Neige, the irrefutable king of the celebrations invites young and no so young outdoor enthusiasts to come join him in rediscovering the pleasures of winter. Many activities are scheduled for the entire family from games and sports, to cultural activities and food tasting contests along with special performances and colorful magical characters.
