Vivid Sydney – A show of Fire & Water! From June 12-14 in Sydney, Australia

Vivid Sydney, the biggest international music and light festival in the Southern Hemisphere announces its grand finale, Fire Water! From June 12-14 with three nights of flame, food, fire sculptors, musicians and live performances, Fire Water is a unique harbor-side spectacle never seen before in Sydney!

Fire Water takes visitors on a journey back to 1814 as a ghostly convict ship emerges from the dark waters of Campbells Cove and explodes into flame. Featuring a stunning re-creation of the fire that devastated the 19th-century convict ship the Three Bees sending its cannon balls blazing across the Sydney Harbour, Fire Water brings to life an event still vivid in the memories of Sydney’s older citizens.

For three nights only fire sculptures, light installations, music, flame-grilled food from local restaurateurs and the dramatic burning of the Three Bees will turn The Rocks into a magical and warm winter haven. A dramatic soundscape will echo around the Cove and live music will accompany the spectacle from the wharf, while visitors create their own floating lanterns to place in the bay, each symbolizing the many descendants who arrived on the Three Bees.
