Sydney Airport rated in top five airports worldwide
Sydney Airport is rated in the top five airports* worldwide, as well as in Asia, by the 2004 AETRA survey, which is conducted by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and the Airports Council International (ACI).
Airports participating in the AETRA survey were evaluated based on 30 service ratings. Over 80,000 passengers from 52 major international airports in Europe, North America and the Asia-Pacific participated in the survey.
Sydney Airport took out two prestigious ratings and was the only airport in the top five that is not government subsidised or owned:
- 5th best airport worldwide over 25 million passengers
-Â 5th best airport in Asia
Max Moore-Wilton, Executive Chairman & CEO of Sydney Airport Corporation Ltd (SACL) said the result was pleasing and showed that Sydney Airport continued to meet high standards of service delivery to passengers, while continuing to perform strongly as a business.
“Consistently rated as one of the best airports in the world, Sydney Airport closely monitors customer satisfaction, striving for ongoing improvements that will benefit the some 27 million passengers that visit us each year,” Mr Moore-Wilton said.
