Jet Airways Receives “Best First Class Service In The World” Award From Business Traveler Magazine

Jet Airways, India’s premier international airline, was voted “Airline with the Best First Class Service in the World” by readers of Business Traveler magazine at its 20th Annual “Best in Business Travel” award ceremony in Los Angeles last week.

With the introduction of its First Class product last year, Jet Airways created the first airline “suites in the sky” – offering passengers the ultimate in privacy and luxury. Each First Class suite features dual sliding doors that create complete privacy for every passenger, the world’s longest First Class bed at 83 inches, a massive 23-inch flat-screen monitor and carefully designed storage areas that include a personal hanging wardrobe, dual credenza and under-ottoman storage, among other amenities. Menu choices are extensive and served on hand-painted Bernardaud porcelain china. Passengers can select the finest of French champagnes, including Dom Perignon and Krug, as well as outstanding wines from around the world and a library of single malt whiskies – all served in Mikasa crystal.

Jet Airways’ First Class service is available on the airline’s Boeing 777-300ER aircraft – currently deployed on the airline’s long-haul services between North America and the United Kingdom to India.

Hearing about the award, Wolfgang Prock-Schauer, CEO of Jet Airways, expressed his delight, saying, “Jet Airways strives to offer the finest First Class product in the skies today. The airline has invested a lot of time and money in this effort. This award is a proud affirmation of our product and we are immensely proud.”

Business Traveler has the distinction of being the world’s premier business travel publication. With its start in the U.K. more than 30 years ago and introduction to the U.S. in 1988, the consumer-focused magazine has since grown to include nine editions worldwide.
