RATES FOR GRAND CANYON RAILWAY PACKAGES DROP UP TO 32 PERCENT IN WINTER; TRAIN TRAVEL TO GRAND CANYON INCLUDES ACCOMMODATIONS, MEALS AND TOURS

WILLIAMS, Ariz. – September 24, 2008 – Starting October 15, rates for Grand Canyon Railway Getaway Packages drop by as much as 32 percent. Winter rates are valid through March 14, 2009, based upon double occupancy for adults and do not include taxes or park entrance fee.

Grand Canyon Railway packages feature roundtrip train travel to Grand Canyon National Park, accommodations at the Grand Canyon Railway Hotel in Williams, Ariz. and/or inside the park and meals. Some packages include narrated motorcoach tours at the South Rim of the Grand Canyon.

The Railway Getaway is a one-night package featuring roundtrip coach-class train travel, one night of lodging at the Grand Canyon Railway Hotel in Williams and breakfast and dinner per person. Rates are $119 for those 16 and older, $93 for ages 13-15 and $43 for children 2-12.

The Railway Getaway Plus features roundtrip coach-class train travel, two nights of lodging at Grand Canyon Railway Hotel and two breakfasts and two dinners per person. Rates are $169 for those 16 and older, $117 for ages 13-15 and $54.50 for children 2-12.

The Canyon Limited features roundtrip coach-class train travel, one dinner and one breakfast per person at Max and Thelma's Restaurant adjacent to the Williams Depot, one night of lodging at Grand Canyon Railway Hotel, one night of lodging in Grand Canyon National Park and a motorcoach tour of the South Rim with lunch. Rates are $200 for those 16 and older, $89 for ages 13-15 and $53.50 for children 2-12.

The Canyon Limited Plus features roundtrip coach-class train travel, one night of lodging at the Grand Canyon Railway Hotel followed by one night of lodging in Grand Canyon National Park and a second night of lodging at the Grand Canyon Railway Hotel, two breakfasts and two dinners per person at the Max & Thelma’s Restaurant and motorcoach rim tour with lunch. Rates are $270 for those 16 and older, $113 for ages 13-15 and $65 for children 2-12.

The RV Getaway features roundtrip coach-class train travel and an RV site for two nights at the Grand Canyon Railway RV Park in Williams. Rates are $69 for those 16 and older, $54 for ages 13-15 and $29 for children 2-12.

The RV Getaway Plus features roundtrip coach-class train travel and an RV site for three nights at the Grand Canyon Railway RV Park. Rates are $79 for those 16 and older, $56.50 for ages 13-15 and $29 for children 2-12.
