Virginia Is for Low Fare Lovers! US Airways Reduces Fares to More Than 20 Destinations To and From Roanoke, Virginia, USAÂÂ
TEMPE, Ariz. — For the second time this month, US Airways sets off another round of its popular fare reductions by lowering fares in Roanoke, Va., to more than 20 popular destinations. The fare reductions the airline is known for generate both a positive response from customers and a positive revenue impact for the airline.
Customers will see walkup fares reduced by up to 49 percent.
This latest round of price cuts is part of a fare reduction program that
the new US Airways commenced after its merger with America West. Destinations seeing significant reductions to and from Roanoke, Va. include Los Angeles and Salt Lake City with walkup fares reduced 49 percent. Las Vegas and Denver see reductions of 48 and 46 percent respectively. Seven additional California destinations including San Diego and Palm Springs have walkup fares reduced more than 30 percent. Fares are available immediately and can be booked at www.usairways.com, by calling 800-428-4322 or through a travel agent.
“The Roanoke valley is a traveler’s dream. No matter what peaks your
interest, whether it’s a business trip or a family vacation, Roanoke has it
all,” said Tom Trenga, vice president, revenue management for US Airways.
“We’re very pleased to bring the citizens of Roanoke lower fares to more than 20 destinations across the country. These new fares will allow Roanoke travelers the opportunity to support their community, while giving them an affordable option out of their local airport.”
With this wave of fare reductions, US Airways has dramatically lowered prices in more than 1,100 markets system wide. Below is the list of 22 markets that will see fare reductions to and from Roanoke, Va. The sample
