Lufthansa doubles the rewards with Partner Plus Benefit

Australian corporates travelling to Europe can now benefit from a customised loyalty program that rewards companies as well as individual employees: Partner Plus Benefit from Lufthansa German Airlines.

Under this innovative program, companies accrue points towards their Partner Plus Benefit account, while individual employees accrue points towards a personal Lufthansa Miles & More frequent flyer account, or towards their existing frequent flyer program held with any other Star Alliance partner airline.

Our focus moving forward is to grow our share of the corporate travel market and as such we are introducing Partner Plus Benefit to welcome and encourage trial by Australian companies and business travellers.

“The program, which has already been introduced in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, has been hugely successful and we expect Australian corporates to respond very well to Partner Plus Benefit,” says Ms Ahrens.

Membership to Partner Plus Benefit and Miles & More is free of charge and points collected are valid for three years. Credits can be redeemed for business class lounge access vouchers, or flights and upgrades on any Lufthansa-operated flights.

The rewards are immediate, with just one return economy flight to Europe earning the company enough points to redeem a business class lounge access voucher.

Ms Ahrens says: “Many companies have economy-class-only travel policies in place, so Partner Plus Benefit gives them the opportunity to provide employees with upgrades to fly business class, or with vouchers for our business class lounges so the employee can work or relax in style while waiting for connecting flights. “

Partner Plus Benefit is open to all Australian companies, except those that already hold a global contract with Lufthansa. The program operates via a simple web-based system, giving one nominated administrator per company 24-7 access to redeem points and track the account balance.
