New scheduled air services for Namibia and Zambia

Over the last few years, Sefofane Air Charters has expanded the size of its operation beyond the fixed-wing, air-charter services it initially started out with. As the start of the 2009 photographic safari season is soon to commence, this reputable air charter company will soon implement two new routes.

Starting with Sefofane Namibia, a new scheduled service will operate from April 1, 2009 in a clock-wise direction from Windhoek to Windhoek, therefore, providing a daily service to all Wilderness Safaris and Safari and Adventure Co. camps in Namibia, inclusive of Serra Cafema. Mostly the service will be provided in air-conditioned Cessna Caravans C208. These superb aircraft are faster and more spacious, allowing for improved comfort over the long distances in Namibia.

Sefofane Zambia is also able to boast a new flying schedule. Commencing on May 1, it will operate three times a week, including Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. Flying also in Cessna Caravans C208, the route will start in Livingstone, continuing onto Kafue National Park and then Lusaka before returning back to the Kafue and then Livingstone.

This is a prime opportunity for guests to get quicker and easier access to both Safari&Adventure Co.’s and/or Wilderness Safaris’ managed properties situated in the heart of the Kafue National Park. These include Lufupa Tented and River Camps, as well as Busanga Bush Camp, Kapinga and Shumba.

For those combining the South Luangwa National Park to their itinerary, a short commercial flight from Lusaka will provide equally easy access to other popular properties of Kalamu Lagoon camp and The Bushcamp Company’s Mfuwe Lodge, Safari&Adventure Co’s most recent addition to their 15-strong adventurous camp portfolio.

For guests accessing Zambia through Lusaka, where there might be a layover necessary before embarking on any Wilderness or SAC safari, there is the added choice of a complimentary day room in either Chaminuka Game Reserve or a Lusaka City Tour.
