This exciting exhibition opening September 24, 2010 at Paris’s Jacquemart-AndrĂ© Museum will new page in the history of art. The exhibit assembles around sixty paintings from some of the best private and public collections in Europe (Art museums in Lille, Nantes, Rennes, Oxford, Liège, and more) and offers a unique view of two great artistic movements of the 17th century: Flemish Baroque painting, of which Rubens is the chief protagonist, and the French Classical school led by Poussin.

Zagreb visitors can watch the Changing of the Guard ceremony on Saturdays and Sundays at 11.45am on the St. Mark’s Square until October 31st, with an additional ceremony on October 8th (Independence Day). Each changing of the guard ceremony begins with an attractive “preparation of the sentries and weapons inspection”. A squad of 12 soldiers participates in the ceremony, after which guards are assigned to set positions.

Route 66 Diver LargeThe City of West Hollywood, in collaboration with the Museum of Neon Art, will launch “On Route – 66 Lights,” a citywide celebration of the impressive range of neon signage in West Hollywood. The sprawling public art exhibition is part of the City’s Art on the Outside efforts in recognition of the City of West Hollywood’s 25th Anniversary of Cityhood. (The City of West Hollywood was incorporated on November 29, 1984.) The first of its kind, the exhibit showcases illuminated art in a real-world setting, and is a remarkable study in the region’s history. All of the art is easily enjoyed throughout the City’s pedestrian-friendly community.

Swedish airline to host first-ever in-flight gay wedding
When officials at Scandinavian airlines say that love is in the air, they’re being literal. The Swedish carrier has announced plans to host the first-ever in-flight gay wedding on Dec. 6, and is busy searching for the perfect same-sex couple to walk down the airborne aisle. “It will be a very traditional wedding,” SAS spokesman Anders Lindstroem told the AFP. “There will be wedding cake and dancing in the aisles.”
